Lace Candles

So I was shopping with my friends and there was a HUGE sale at Yankee Candle! Like 50% off! And I am definitely a sucker for great smelling candles. I found two that smell absolutely amazing, Pineapple Cilantro and Cherry Lemonade. They will make my room smell like summer all year round! But I'm not a huge fan of the labels and I wanted to make them cuter!
First I just peeled off the label
But it left a really sticky residue that I didn't want on the candle

Goo Gone worked really well to get this off!
The lace I bought was too wide for the candles

So I trimmed it to fit the height and width of the candle
Then, using a glue gun, I glued the lace around the candle!
All done! I like them so much better and they'll fit in with my room so well!

DIY Bathroom Storage

I wanted to make something cute for my bathroom counter so that my stuff isn't just all over the place like it is now!

Here's how it turned out:

My inspiration:

I found tons of great plates, bowls and candlesticks at the dollarstore, plus of course it was super cheap!

Supplies
1. Plates (1 large and 2 small)
2. Candlesticks (2 short, 3 tall)
3. 3 bowls or candle holders
4. Glue Gun
5. Goo Gone (optional, I didn't end up needing it, but if the price tags are sticky, this stuff always works)

I started off by washing all the dishes in hot water and soap and this got all of the sticky price tags off no problem.

Then, it was as easy as hot glueing the long candlesticks to the bowls to create the storage bowls and the plates to the short candlesticks to create the tiered platter.

 The finished products!
 Great for storage!
